Bilateral mediation

In mediation, people are the best experts on their own conflicts. The aim of mediation is to repair relations between neighbours and help them find a common, lasting solution that improves neighbourly harmony, comfort and security.

Bilateral mediation comes into play when there are two or more parties but they are clearly known to each other and there is something going on between them - for example, a bad situation, an incident or a disruptive behaviour. In the bilateral mediation process, the parties are first discussed separately, followed by a joint meeting and then a follow-up.
