Mediation training

For example, are you a housing counsellor and want to train as a mediator in housing-related conflicts? 

This training is aimed specifically at housing advisors in real estate companies and other housing professionals who want to gain a deeper understanding of mediation and learn how to use the mediation process in their work with residents. Many of the problems reported by residents can be word-of-mouth situations, where traditional problem-solving methods are not effective and an understanding of the principles of mediation is needed. The training will go into the underlying principles and practical tools of mediation in more depth thanin mediation training. After the mediation training, the participant will be able to act as a mediator in conflict situations between residents, where the key skills include managing the mediation situation and preparing the parties for the mediation process. The mediator must have a good understanding of the role and principles of the mediator, such as impartiality, so that the process is seen as a coherent whole by the parties.

Framework for training

  • The training will be carried outtwo 6-hour periodsa training component, plus a pre-task and an intermediate task. The training sessions are approximately 2-4 weeks apart.
  • The price of the training isEUR 1800(VAT 0%). The price covers 2 x 6h training sessions, travel expenses for trainers and training material.
  • Small local non-profit operators can qualify for a discount.

  • How I ask and discuss to defuse confrontation and tensions
  • Mediation process and individual discussions, purpose and objectives of individual discussions
