There will be delays in our service during the summer.
ASK will be operating with a reduced number of mediators during the summer. We may not be able to fulfil our promise to respond within two weeks, but we will be in touch with every initiator.

“I am happy and grateful to be joining the expert team at the Mediation Forum and the Centre for Peaceful Coexistence to reflect on and develop the place of social mediation and restorative justice in Finland. For me, peace does not mean the absence of conflict, but the ability to have difficult conversations. Conflicts are part of living together – and when handled correctly, they can also generate new understanding and progress.”
The Project Manager's tasks include managing the Centre's team of experts and volunteers, planning and developing activities, human resources management, financial responsibility, lobbying and networking, and preparing applications and reports to funders and the Association's Board of Directors. In addition, the manager's duties include mediation and training.
Do you receive notifications on your desk about various disturbances to your peace of mind? Have you ever thought about how to respond to them in a constructive way? Do you spend your working hours dealing with repeated contacts on the same issue?
Restorative justice is a human right! In recent years, there has been a growing movement in the field of restorative justice that aligns its values with international and regional human rights norms.

On Tuesday 27.5.2025, the former Centre for Neighbourhood Mediation and the current Centre for Residential Peace celebrated its milestone by inviting its network, steering group and other key partners to celebrate at Gillet Bar & Bistro Festsale in Helsinki.
Our new name, the Centre for Peace in Housing, better reflects what we do and who we are today. In addition to traditional mediation, our values, services and future direction include multidisciplinary work for housing peace. For example, if there is a dispute in a residential community but the parties do not actually feel they are in conflict, we may take a more informative approach to housing peace work.
